The FLASH-THRU is a UV-C disinfection pass-through chamber with an adjustable timer. A sixty-second exposure to the light results in a greater than 99.99% kill rate of most bacteria, viruses, and spores on any surface that the light reaches.
The FLASH-THRU features six UV-C bulbs and a quartz glass shelf for items to rest on, allowing 360 degrees of UV-C exposure on any surface the light reaches. Unlike traditional shelf materials such as plastic, plain glass, and wire, (which block UV-C) quartz glass allows the light to penetrate through and achieve a high level of kill. The FLASH-THRU is perfect for laboratory tools and equipment entering a vivarium, including laptops, tablets, cell phones, safety glasses, electronics, tools, pens, and anything else that can fit inside. UV-C has proven to be a more effective approach to traditional methods of disinfecting items, such as spraying and wiping. An interlock system ensures items can only be retrieved after the UV-C exposure has been completed.

Notes: Six quartz glass UV-C bulbs are included, one on top, one on the bottom, and one in each corner positioned vertically. The bulb's life is 16,000 hours. Each quartz glass bulb is Teflon coated to prevent any shattered glass if accidental breakage occurs. Two stainless steel mounting brackets are included for each side of the FLASH-THRU. The FLASH-THRU is made with 316-grade stainless steel with two UV-resistant polycarbonate doors.
